Get In Shape For Bass Fishing Tournaments!

The spring is here, and it's time for bass fishing tournaments all over the country to start!
There are always going to be a few anglers who excel above all others and with todays competition at an all time high, every and any advantage you can get over the competition should be employed.
One of the most important things to do after learning where the bass are and how to catch them, is to get in shape. A highly competitive amateur or professional tournament trail, such as the FLW or B.A.S.S., will leave no room for errors, and the anglers that understand the proper diet, nutrition, exercise and sleep habits will have an extra edge over the competition.
I can't strees how important this is! Mark Davis started an exercise and fitness routine many years ago when not many other anglers were concerned about their health or eating habits. Today, we all know how important of a role diet, exercise, and proper weight control can effect the way you not only perform while fishing a tournament trail, but how it effects you mentally as well.
If you want to get the latest information on diet, exercise, fitness training and the truth about nutritional supplements you should do what many other anglers are doing today and stop in to Delaware Nutrtition and Fitness website and get started on a fitness routine now. There are diet plans, exercise routines, bodybuilding tips and major discounts from sponsors on nutritional supplements that really work.
The owner knows what it takes to perform at a high level as he has over 40 years of experience bass fishing as well as nutrition and fitness experience. The owner who works out on a regular basis at Golds Gym, is the Big Bass World Champ and NAFC Hall Of Fame angler, radio host and a former bass fishing guide and tournament angler.
Don't be left behind this year by other anglers who found out what it takes to compete at a higher level. Stop in to Delaware Nutrition and Fitness at http://delawarefitness.webs.com and check it out, and then stop in to Delaware Bass Fishing for some bass fishing videos, tournament tips and discounts on tackle and boating supplies at http://bassfishingstories.webs.com

Tactics For Trophy Chain Pickerel[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Chain Pickerel can be found throughout the Northeast, and down to Florida. In some areas, these are prized as trophies that deserve the same respect as a big largemouth bass, in other areas, such as in Florida, many anglers consider them nothing more than a nuisance.
Lake Musconetcong Secrets to Big Bass[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Lake Musconetcong is located in northern New Jersey, between Sussex and Morris counties. It is actually part of Hopetcong State Park, and doesn't receive the notoriety of its bigger brother Hopetcong or Greenwood Lake or any of the central Jersey waters. Yet, it is one of the best bass waters in northern New Jersey.
Winning Tournament Tactics For Largemouth Bass[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] There are certain tactics that give a tournament fisherman an edge over the other competitors, and produce a win. Sometimes just doing a little extra homework and preparation is all it takes.
Crankbait Tactics For Huge Prespawn Bass[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] One of the most effective ways to catch huge prespawn bass in lakes and rivers are lipless crankbaits. These baits are especially effective when the water temperature is between forty-nine and fifty-eight degrees, especially in stained or muddy water in lakes and ponds, but it also works well in the rivers.
You Don't Always Get What You Want[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] You don't always get what you want, but do you get what you need? While pre-fishing for a tournament at Bull Shoals Lake in Missouri, we had some of the strangest things happen to us in three days there, than at any other lake we had ever been to then or since.
Soft Plastics For Big Bass[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] The variety of soft plastic baits for bass is mind boggling. The choices available just in worms alone, are enough to cause confusion with the novice angler, and hours of debate among the more experienced.
Fishing the Power Drop Shot Rig[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Most people believe that the drop-shot rig is only for finesse fishing, but there is more than one way to skin a cat! (or Fish), as the case may be. The new Power Drop-Shot style started by Kotaro Kiriyama, is fast becoming the way to bigger and better bags on many of the tournament trails.
Snag Proof Frogs - Baits That Catch Big Bass![Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] It was the late 1950's and Harry Ehlers, an avid fisherman and advertising executive at Solo Marx (better known as Totes, makers of rubber rain boots) observed a boot mold being dipped into plastic. He had the idea to create a fishing lure using the same method. As with many fishing lure businesses, Snag Proof started over the kitchen stove.
Drop Shotting in Depth[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Drop-shotting has been touted as one of the hottest "new" techniques around, but it has been around since the mid 1970s. Drop-shotting has been revived in the last 5 years by Japanese anglers, who started using this technique to catch the bass in their clear, highly pressured lakes, but saltwater anglers, and pan-fisherman have been using this technique for many years to catch finicky fish suspended off the bottom.
Hot Action on the Sassafras[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Most anglers use the public ramp. There are several marinas with gas located on the river, with a towboat service if you should ever need it. There are no-wake restrictions in the marinas, and a six mile per hour speed limit on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, which are clearly marked in the channel.
IGFA History[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Before 1939 there was no universal code of sporting ethics to guide ocean anglers in their pursuits. Some rules pertaining to sporting conduct were in effect at certain well-established fishing clubs but they varied according to the dictates of each club.
Dead-Sticking Bass[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] When the weather is nasty, be it in the early spring or late fall, many anglers miss out on some of the best bass fishing of the year. When their boats are in the garage, and their gear is stored away, other anglers in the know, cash in on some of the best fishing of the year using some special techniques.
LIVE BAIT It's Not a Crime[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] The time from Ice-Out to the time when the water warms to above fifty degrees can be the prime time to catch a true "TROPHY" bass in almost every area, all over the world. Many of the largest specimens are taken this time of year on "live bait".
The Chesapeake Bay[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] The Chesapeake Bay, with more than two thousand miles of shoreline, is the largest estuary in the world. Despite its size, it is basically a shallow body of water. There are deep spots (some greater than 90 feet deep) but there are lots of spots where shallow-water anglers can enjoy world-class angling.
Year Round Spinnerbait Tactics[Recreation-and-Sports:Fishing] Spinnerbaits are not just a tool for the spring and fall. Spinnerbaits can be deadly, if the right ones are fished in a variety of situations whether it be the East Coast or the West. The trick is to be able to distinguish which is the right one for the right situation?
